Nurx, on-demand birth control delivery company that prescribes contraceptives and at-home testing through its app, came to us with some unique challenges. Most pressing, they were in Google Ads “jail” and had been blacklisted from the advertising platform due to an online pharmacy credential that Google required. On top of that, they have highly aggressive new customer growth targets and were promoting a new HPV testing kit. Flash forward 3 months and we had increased new customer acquisition from pre-Google jail levels by 45% while staying 74% under the cost-per-customer target. See how we did it!

After negotiating with Google using our agency relationships, we were able to get Nurx back up and running within a week after several months of down time to turn the critical lead channel back on. Since Nurx already had the necessary credentials, it was just a matter of documenting them with the powers that be at Google.

Our next challenge was to scale the program… while maintaining an efficient cost-per-acquisition. Through building out the keyword list, writing new ad copy, sculpting audience targeting, organizing SKAGs, and adding a negative list we starting seeing promising results right away which only increased the target.
